The Village Clerk-Treasurer serves as a key administrative and financial officer for the Village of Soldiers Grove, supporting effective village operations, transparency, and responsible stewardship of public funds.
As Clerk, the Clerk-Treasurer is the official recordkeeper for the village and is responsible for maintaining ordinances, resolutions, meeting minutes, contracts, and other official documents. The Clerk-Treasurer also prepares and posts meeting notices and agendas, assists with Village Board and committee meetings, and helps ensure compliance with state and local requirements for public information and records retention.
As Treasurer, the Clerk-Treasurer manages the village’s financial records and supports the annual budgeting process. Responsibilities may include tracking revenues and expenditures, processing payments and payroll, maintaining accounts, preparing financial reports, and coordinating required filings and audits. The Clerk-Treasurer also serves as an important point of contact for residents and community members—assisting with questions, providing access to public information, and coordinating public records requests in accordance with Wisconsin law.
Through these combined responsibilities, the Village Clerk-Treasurer helps ensure the Village of Soldiers Grove operates efficiently, communicates clearly with the public, and remains accountable in both governance and financial management.
